            For my next blog post about I am going to be discussing about climate change involving the rainforest. The company that is supporting the rainforest is called, “rainforest Connection”. Topher White built the company. He created a solar power of listening devices to monitor and protect different parts of the rainforest. The technology he is using are recycled cell phones. He takes old cell phones, antennas and microphones in order to make solar panel stations. The sun would charge the panels. It will then broadcast what is happening in the rainforest. They are trying to stop people from illegal taking down trees, by listening to abnormal sounds. Sounds like logging trucks and chainsaws. We are also able to monitor the rainforest from home using their app. I tried the app and it works. I feel that is a smart move by using recycled cell phones. They use solar energy to cut cost.
